FAQ

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

The St. Johns Riverboat Co. is located in Historic Downtown Sanford, Florida. The city is situated on Lake Monroe and the Barbara-Lee is docked on Marina Island.

WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE CRUISE?

Each cruise includes live entertainment and a multi-course meal consisting of appetizers, salad, entrée, dessert, coffee and iced tea, as well as endless hospitality.

IS SMOKING ALLOWED?

The main dining cabins are smoke-free, but smoking is permissible out on the outside decks.

DO YOU SERVE BEER, WINE AND COCKTAILS?

Absolutely! The Barbara-Lee has a well-stocked bar and expert bartenders able to prepare whatever drinks you crave, including our Signature Cocktails.

IS THE SHIP AIR CONDITIONED?

Yes. The enclosed cabin spaces are climate controlled for year-round comfort, which includes heating on sometimes chilly winter days.

IS THERE NARRATION DURING THE TOUR?

Yes. During the lunch tours, our cruise guide will point out wildlife, areas of interest and share the history of steamships that sailed the St. Johns River.

IS THERE ENTERTAINMENT ON BOARD?

Yes. We offer live entertainment on every cruise, as well as special entertainment on our Rockin’ the River cruise and holiday cruises.

IS THE BARBARA-LEE AVAILABLE FOR CHARTER?

Yes. The Barbara-Lee is the ideal, uncommon setting for weddings, business meetings, reunions and a host of other special events for up to 194 attendees. You can charter the whole ship or individual decks.

DO YOU OFFER GROUP RATES?

Yes, for groups of 20 or more. Simply contact one of our Cruise Specialists to discuss dates, times and your needs.

WILL WE SEE ALLIGATORS?

Maybe. Unfortunately, we can’t guarantee the appearance of any specific wildlife. However, the St. Johns River is home to thousands of the rowdy reptiles that, depending on the season, can be seen sunning on the banks or swimming alongside the ship.

HOW CLOSE DO WE GET TO WILDLIFE?

You’ll be close enough to get a great view and a clear picture, but the ship sits too high to get any “stowaways.”

WHAT ELSE WILL WE SEE?

The St. Johns River and its banks are brimming with wildlife. Great herons, osprey, turtles, egrets, anhingas and even manatees sometimes make a debut.

WHERE CAN WE PARK DURING OUR CRUISE?

There’s a large FREE parking lot immediately next to the ship’s berth at Marina Island.

ARE THE TIMES LISTED IN YOUR SCHEDULE ACCURATE?

Yes. The times listed are the times that the Barbara-Lee pulls away from the dock. Boarding starts about a half-hour before departure.
